Our Mission

Immanuel Mission Team is an inter-denominational organization founded with the burden of reaching the Gospel to the unreached villages of our nation. It is a religious and charitable society to profess and practice the love of Jesus among various groups of people, and spreading the teaching of Jesus Christ. At present we have 55 local missionaries in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uthar Pradesh, Utharaghant, Delhi, Chathisghat, Jammu Kashmir and Orissa states. We are praying for 300 local missionaries in north India just as God provided to Gideon in Old Testament (Judges 7:7).

Our Social Activities

01. Educational assistance to the needy children in the villages

Many of the villages we have visited, it is commonly seen that most of the children are not going to school due to several reasons. As an effort to bring a change in this situation, we are supporting several children in different villages in their education, providing school uniforms, bags and their fees and encouraging them to regularly attend schools. Making them as well as their parents aware regarding the importance of education and making constant efforts so as to enable these children to have a better and secure future. Thereby enabling them to improve their living conditions and give their share of contribution to the society.

02. Youth awareness programmes in the villages

We are conducting youth awareness programmes in different villages to educate them regarding the importance of maintaining personal & environmental hygiene, education given regarding drugs and substance abuse, and awareness about the importance of engaging youth in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS. Our programmes not only believe in enlightening these young minds but we also encourage active participation in these programmes as we completely believe the idea that, the youngsters of today are the leaders of tomorrow ,and it helps in building their social relations as well.

03. Awareness campaign regarding the importance of education

Many of the people including children as well as adults in the villages we have visited, can hardly read and write. There are many who have either not gone to school or even if they have, they have not completed their schooling due to their ignorance and hardships. So we are conducting several awareness programmes regarding the importance of education especially among illiterate adults and adolescents. Encouraging children, especially girls to join schools, realize their capabilities and work hard.

04. Awareness campaign regarding the hazards of smoking and alcoholism

Now a days the consumption of alcohol and smoking is becoming a harmful trend especially among the youngsters in villages. To address this issue, classes were conducted regarding the hazards of smoking and alcoholism and various methods to abstain from such habits. Several cases came up during the interactive sessions and all those individuals were motivated to adopt different methods to abstain from such habits.

06. Free medical assistance to the needy people in the villages

Several of these villages do not have proper medical facilities, moreover people are not aware about the importance of timely medical intervention and so we are making efforts to firstly increase the awareness regarding the importance of timely medical assistance as well as providing financial help to as many as we can. Moreover, some people have superstitious beliefs that the diseases they suffer are due to some sort of curse or bad omen and so do not seek medical assistance, so we help to set them free from such unwanted beliefs by making them aware of the actual cause of their diseases and provide them with the necessary medical help.
